You Might Be a Geek...

Do you proudly admit that you are a geek? Or, have you been wondering if you are a geek? Geek or nerd, we embrace both.

Urbandictionary.com – Geek: The people you pick on in high school and wind up working for as an adult.

Dictionary.com – Geek: a digital-technology expert or enthusiast

Did you see Star Wars: A New Hope multiple times when it was new in theaters? Did you pour over the latest editions of Byte Magazine as soon as they were published? Do you miss the arcades? Did you watch the X-Files religiously and are following the new mini-series? You may be a geek. Don’t worry, that is a good thing. We grant safe harbor to all Jedis, Klingons, Brown Coats, Wizards, Hobbits, Elves, Linux fans, players of Myst, etc…

We think it is important to celebrate Geekdom and we do so with: “Today in Geek History.”

Over the past year we’ve been adding to our Geek History lists on our blog. We are now moving those entries to our website. You will be able to find all kinds of geek history here listed by month. You will never lose another round of geek trivia with your friends or miss another Pi Day.

And now for something completely different….

We cover interesting news articles from Geek culture including entertainment, space news, gadgets, and technology. For instance, do you realize that quite a bit of Super Bowl 50 advertisement came from Geek culture? There were ads for super hero movies, aliens, and monsters (maybe???? What is Cloverfield, really?) and The Flight of the Conchords wrote a musical score for Marmot Clothing.

So, whether you celebrate Towel Day or Geek Pride Day, you will find plenty to interest you here. Stop by often to see what’s new. In the meantime, you can take the Geek Test or check your Geek Zodiac Sign.

Geek on!
